During the spring 2007 outage season employed over 1,200 craftsmen. The work amounted to some 50 million dollars of simultaneous multi state work comprising diverse workers from all states. All work was completed ON SCHEDULE, on-budget and safe. We did not encounter any issues of manpower availability. PMSI has the experience and networking capability to completly staff our clients upcoming projects with safe and dependable craft personnel.

Bechtel Corporation: PMSI began working with Bechtel Corporation at Evergreen Energy’s 750,000 ton per year K-Fuel® production facility near Gillette, Wyoming in August 2007 as we were called in to complete balance of plant work. KFx plans to develop and operate K-Fuel® production plants domestically, either wholly owned or through joint ventures, and through international licensing to third parties.

Dayton Power & Light (DP&L) / PMSI has been working on-site at DP&L since spring 2003 and has coordinated efforts with various DP&L personnel at three of DP&L generating stations, consisting of 11 units with a capacity of approximately 4000 megawatts through all the planned improvements and emergency maintenance activities.
In spring 2007, PMSI completed the fourth of four balanced draft conversions of 650 MW B&W units at the JM Stuart Station. In addition to the balanced draft conversion, scope included plant work consisting of buckstay modifications, air pre-heater wheel seal replacement, economizer hopper repair/replace, ESP stiffening, penthouse modifications, air duct and windbox repair/replace, valve replacement, ash water head tank replacement, LoNox burner install, coal piping replacement, chevron and precipitator roof repair/replace, deaerator replacement, high pressure ISO valve replacement, reheat repair/replace, penthouse roof repair/replace, precipitator rebuild, SCR damper maintenance, waterwall replacement.
Multiple overhauls completed - total work in excess of $130 million.

AES – Huntington Beach Generating Station. In 2002, PMSI was selected by AES as prime contractor to redesign and replace two super-critical steam generators and rebuild two 225-megawatt cross-compound high pressure turbine generator units simultaneously. In addition, all of the auxiliary equipment and systems were upgraded or replaced with the latest technology. The latest state-of-the-art NOx and CO emission systems were installed. The Control System was replaced by installing a new central distribution control system, including new steam turbine generator controls.
On this project PMSI expended 929,111 man-hours during a 16 month construction schedule, at times operating 2 shifts a day, employing 735 men at the peak phase with another 270 subcontractors totaling over 1000 men.
Total work completed in excess of $150 million.
